  1. Dude, I’m looking forward to Captain America and Green Lantern looks good also. I don’t know why, but Thor doesn’t do much for me and I don’t like the looks of the new X-Men at all. As for the first one, I’ve never even heard of it. With kids fighting aliens, it kind of reminds me of a dark version of a Disney film or something along those lines.

  2. Thor don’t hold for me either, not really a fan of him in the Comcis. I am intrested to see what they do with the X-men movies.

as for Attack the Block, I had not heard of it either, but I am not surprise as it a low budget brit flick. It most likely get limted realise in the states. But it dose look like a good laugh.
It has a Ridley Scott Alien look to it with humor thrown in.

    • Sadly, most foreign films get released straight to home video in the US. The ones that don’t usually wind up in crappy little theaters. I don’t know why this is so. Practically every US distributor licks his/her chops over what those big releases of their films in other countries are going to bring in and they’re run in big movie theaters, yet nobody extends the same courtesy for films made in other countries. (except Canada, but that’s because they’re our northern neighbors) That’s just wrong, IMO.

Sometimes, I’d like to see a good British film (or something from another country) instead of the dribble that comes from Hollywood, but I don’t get a say in what gets released where. IMO, the best film of 2009 was District 9 from South Africa and I had to hear about it on the Golden Globes and Academy Awards because it didn’t get a wide release in the US.

*gets down off of the soapbox* Sorry for venting in your post.
