Freaking out about Sci-fi & Moives

Falling Skies

It’s been awhile since Steven Spielberg has made a film, this due to him taking on Executive producer duties on a number of films (Transformers: The side of the Moon.) and also a few TV series over the last few years. The last was The Pacific. Spielberg is now back, with a new Science fiction Television series called Falling Skies.
He, co-created it with Robert Rodat.

Falling Skies is set after an alien invasion of Earth in current times.
The show follows a group of Survivors who band together to stay alive and fight back.
The survivors are led by history professor Tom Mason (Noah Wyle, of ER.) who, is looking for his son. Mason must but put his knowledge of military history to good use to keep the group alive and lead the resistance movement.

Falling Skies will air on TNT, on Sunday 19th June 2011 at 21:00 with a two hour pilot. TNT will show a total of ten episodes that make up the first season.
The show will most likely be picked up by Sky One, for the UK.
