Cloud Atlas, Trailer

The Wachowskis (The Matrix Trilogy) are back after a long break from directing. Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) joined the Wachowskis, in writing the script and directing the film. The new movie is based on the novel, by British author David Mitchell.

Here they are describing what the film is about and some of the issue about getting the film made.

And here is the full 5 min trailer.

The film will be realised in the US and UK in October.

Red Dwarf X, Trailer

Thats rigth the classic British Comdey Sci-fi show is coming back to the small screen.
Season 10 will air on the Dave Channel, 3 years after Dave got the rights to Red Dwarf and made the special Back to Earth.
This is also 13 years since season 8 last aired on the BBC.

Now your going to say, wait how can they go from serise 8 to 10, where 9?

Doug Naylor stated in an interview with Dave before the broadcast of Back to Earth that he would like to make another full-length series, but added that “we would have to wait and see” how good or bad the reaction to the new specials would be. He also stated that he would not want to make a series nine but that he might make a series ten, and explained that this would “make a lot more sense in future”. The specials establish that two series focusing on the events leading up to Back to Earth occurred after series eight; during the fictional ninth series (described within the episode by one fan as “the best series yet”), Kryten informed Lister that Kochanski had died, but within Back to Earth Lister learned that Kochanski hadn’t died at all, leaving open the possibility of Lister’s pursuit of Kochanski in future episodes.

I hope this will be good as I am a huge red Dwarf fan. So for my Generation living in the UK Red Dwarf in our Star Trek TOS.

Dave Lister “Lets get out there and Tw@T it!!”

Akria Class, Part 29. Impluse engines rebuild.

I have not been doing much modelling lately as I have been busy with work and when at home I have been playing Lego Star Wars 3. (I am close to getting that platinum Trophy. 🙂 )

So little work on the fighter and Akira, however I have gone back to the impulse engines. They looked a little plain so I though I would add some more details to it.
Nothing much, just a cut out with some added gerbales.

MAN OF STEEL, Teasser trailer.

Here is the first trailer for new Superman movie.

As far as teasser trailers go I have say this did not grab me at all.
Hopefully a full trailer willl.

Pixar Short, Lifted

It such a shame that these days to see a short animation you have to see it before a main feature from Disney.
However lately I have seen them starting to turn up on You Tube.
As this has been uploaded without the permission from Disney or PIXAR, it will most likely get pulled off. So check it out before they get You Tube to pull it down.

This is Lifted, it was shown with Ratatouille in 2007

The Watch, Trailer

Four everyday suburban guys come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week. But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood–and the world–from total extermination.

Here is the red banner Trailer.

Looks like it could very funny.

Robot & Frank Trailer

Once in a while I like to head over to Apple Trailers to see if there are small production movies that could be intresting.

This is where I found Robot & Frank, a hilarious and somewhat heartbreaking story about finding friends and family in the most unexpected places.
The story follows a retied Cat burglar, his two grown kids who are concerned he can no longer live alone. They are tempted to place him in a nursing home until Frank’s son chooses a different option: against the old man’s wishes, he buys Frank a walking, talking humanoid robot programmed to improve his physical and mental health.
