Freaking out about Sci-fi & Moives

James Bond’s new Q revealed, for Skyfall.

Desmond Llewelyn will always be remembered as Q. Llewelyn had played Q from the second Bond film (From Russia with Love) all the way up to his death in 1999, just a few weeks after the realise of his last Bond film (The World Is Not Enough). This made him the only actor to work each of the different actors that had played Bond, in a Bond film.
John Cleese Took over the Role for Die Another Day, and that was the last time Q has been seen on the big screen.
So far with the Daniel Craig films Q has not been seen, however that is about to change with Ben Whishaw taking on the role.

Here is the first picture of Whishaw as Q.

  1. Desmond Llewelyn was the best. I like John Cleese just fine, but I didn’t like him as Q after decades of Desmond playing the role. Desmond was in more Bond films than anybody else, which is saying a lot given how many Bond films Lois Maxwell did.

The new guy looks like a dork. He’s got a stupid hairdo, fugly outfit and fugly glasses. Desmond never looked like a dork. But, I’ll have to actually see him in the role to pass judgment.

    • They made this new guy look like a Nerd.
Desmond Llewelyn, looked like a normal person doing a job.

I liked John Cleese, he was the accident prone Inventor when show on screen the first time.
You could see, they only introduced him as Llewelyn was very ill when he did his last scene. So it was passing the baton over. Clesse was not as bad in his next Bond outing. at least they did not try and make him some that was identical replacement to Q.

as this new guy is going to be playing Llewelyn Character. He has got some very big shoes to fill.

      • Well, part of the problem is that I don’t like Die Another Day all that well, so I mostly remember John Cleese as Q (or R ;)) in The World is Not Enough, where he came off as a putz. It’s not him, it’s the way the character is written, because I’ve seen Cleese in other stuff where I liked him.
