I have been working on the Miss Emily Rose Harris painting a lot longer than I have planned.
But it has been fun to do, even though there was times that I wanted pull out what is left of my hair. 😉
Unfortinaly my drawing and painting skills are not up to the task of getting a ture likness of Miss Emily Rose Harris.
However I am happy with the way it has turned out.
I have upload this finished panting into the Gallery along with the other Painting I have done.
There is no denying that Pitch Perfect is inspired by Glee.
But that is not surprising considering it director Jason Moore has helmed a handful of teenage programs. (Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill, Everwood) and writer Kat Cannon is a writer on 30 Rock.
However Pitch perfect is far better than Glee as it is much funnier and meaner.
The film follows Beca (Anna Kendrick) who is a wannabe record producer who is forced to attend collage by her father who is also a professor at the collage.
Beca joins a hapless all-girl cappella group at the college.
Their ragtag group is lead by a pushy alpha-blonde (Anna Camp), and includes an Asian who whispers when she talks and sings, a black lesbian and ‘Fat Amy’ (Rebel Wilson, who steals every scene she in.)
Naturally they are the underdogs, but they learn to work together and become a crackerjack force of vocal fury as shown in the furious final similar to Bring It On.
There are some great one liner that comes from the cappella commentators Gail and John (Elizabeth Banks & John Michael Higgins)
The story is nothing special and has been told many times before and no doubt will get told many times in future years. The singing is entertaining, but what really stands out is the comedy mostly delivered by Rebel Wilson. I have said Wilson steals every scene she is in and she is defiantly one to keep an eye on.
If you love Glee or hate it, one thing is for sure. You’re going to come out of this film with a big smile and singing one of the songs that have got stuck in your head, which is not a bad thing.
I give Pitch Perfect a 4 out 5.
Bumper: I have a feeling we should kiss. Is that a good feeling or an incorrect feeling?
Fat Amy: Well… sometimes I have the feeling I can do crystal meth, but then I think, mmm… better not.
Not much of an update.
With being unhappy with my first pass of Miss Emily Rose Harris face. I have gone back and redone it. I am not 100% happy with what I done but it look much better than my first attempt. I might go back at a later date and have another pass at it.
Moving on, I have started work on the background by putting in the base colours that I will be using.
Not sure if I will be putting in clouds as my attempts of drawing and painting them have been complete failures.
Work on Miss Emily Rose Harris, hair is now done. It took far longer than I wanted to spend on it but I am happy with the out come.
I used the same technique I used for the Jenson Button painting.
I think I have improved on this technique. However it was very pain staking to do, this was mainly due to the fact that there is some many tendrils of hair being blown by the wind.
As you can see it did not help improve her face as I hoped it would.
I think this down to the fact that I did her face to dark.
So with that I will be going back and redoing that again. Once that is done I will start on the background.
Fast and Furious 6 (alternatively known as Fast Six) is an upcoming action film written by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin. It is the sixth installment in the Fast and the Furious film series. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster will star.
Fast Six was in development by February 2010 as the first film in the series to move away from the underground car-racing theme of the series’ previous films which was considered to have placed a barrier on audience numbers. Pre-production had begun by April 2011, and principal photography began in London, England in July 2012. Filming locations also include the Canary Islands, Scotland, Liverpool, England and Los Angeles. The film is scheduled for release on May 24, 2013.
Here is more work on the Miss Emily Rose Harris, painting.
Mainly worked on the dress, this was took a bit of time but I am happy with the way it turned out.
Also did the eyes and lips.
I have made no changes to the face just yet as I stated before I want to get the hair done to see if it needs to be re-done.
I am now moving onto the hair. Not looking forward to this but the best way to learn is to tackle it head on. 😉
