Here is the trailer that was original intended for WonderCon.
This is not to be mistaken for the Band with the same name.

As an F1 fan, I am looking forward to this.
With the shirt done I have moved onto the Bra.
Next up is either adding more details to the eye (eyelashes) or start work on the hair.
For the hair I am going to do go back and do what I did with the Trinity Picture instead of what I have done for the last two.
Judge Dredd is a classic British comic, who has graced the big screen once before in the 1995 Sylvester Stallone film of the same name. Unfortunately the writers of the comic strip did not have much input with the story and it did break one of the major rules with the character and that was viewer seeing his face. The one saving grace of the film was that it visuals did match that of the comic strip.
Now Judge Dredd has been brought back to the big screen staring Karl Urban as Dredd. The budget for this film is also a lot smaller which can be seen in the first few minutes of the film with the car chase. But apart from that small, the low budget is not a major issue.
The film takes place in the early 23rd century. Most of the Earth has become a irradiated wasteland known as the Cursed Earth. What is left of humanity now live in large cites, that can span most of the United States. The justices system as we know it no longer works. In it place are the Judges. They have been given the power of police officer, judge, jury and when the need call for it executioner.
Judge Dredd is tasked by the Chief Judge with evaluating new recruit Cassandra Anderson, a powerful psychic who failed the aptitude tests to be a Judge.
Dredd tell Anderson to pick a crime to investigate, she picks a triple homicide at Peach Trees, a 200-storey slum tower block.
Once they start their investigation they find a drug dealer who deals with the new a addictive drug called “Slo-Mo”, which slows the user’s perception of time to 1% of normal. This dealer Anderson leans took part in the murder, so they decide to take him back to the precinct to questions him. Unknown to Dredd and Anderson, this dealer is part of Ma-Ma internal cycle, who making the new drug.
Ma-Ma locks down Peach Trees to stop them from leaving; she then puts a price on the head of the Judges and tells anyone not hunting them down to get out of sight and anyone found helping them will be killed along with them.
Now Dredd and Anderson now have to battle up the 200 storey tower, to get out.
The story is simple and similar to the Raid. But it is it owns story and a great way to introduce Judge Dredd. The film moves along nicely and there are no slow moments.
The action is excellent and there is a great scene where Ma-Ma lock Dredd and Anderson down and starts to us a Vulcan Cannons to take them out.
I did not see this film in 3d but the “Slo-Mo” since are excellent in 2d so they must be outstanding in 3d. There is a bit of gore but nothing that is over the top and the last scene with Ma-Ma is interesting to see.
Needless to say this is what the 1995 film should have been.
The film has been written as the first part of trilogy. The second part is said to focus on Dredd origins and third would deal with his arc nemesis Judge Death.
However the box office taking for the film was not that great. (I put that down to the lack of marketing) but the Blu-ray and DVD sells have been very good so there still could be a sequal.
The cast are great in this film and Urban really bring Dredd to life.
Lena Headey is also steals every scene that she is in as Ma-Ma.
If you’re a fan of Judge Dredd then it is worth see and if your not. It is a great way to get introduce to the character.
I give this film 4 out of 5.
Judge Dredd: Negotiation’s over. Sentence is death.
Here is the thrid trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness.
Here are some sketches that I have been doing in-between paintings.
They are inspired by pin-up photos I have found and another one I would like to try paint from John Eaves collection of Pin up photos. (You can see them on his blog. link is on the right under Blogroll.)
As I said with the Miss Emily Rose Harris Painting, one of my biggest issues is doing faces.
Drawing them is not too bad; the issue come with the shading and adding depth to them. So this is something I am going to have to work on.
