Commission Job

This was a commission peace for my old Manager.
She wanted a picture of her daughter with the Scooby-Doo gang. (She a big fan.)
She sent me a photo of her daughter and a friend. I used that for the basic set up of the picture, then added in Scooby and co.
I then sent back the outlines for approval once that was given. I started on the colouring.
This is the finished results.

Film Trailer for 2014.

Well it’s that time of year again, when the summer 2014 blockbuster trailers start to pop up.

First up is The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

I thought Mark Webb did a great job, with the first film.
This looks like it will be bigger and better. As long as the story is not lost, with the number of super villain making an appearance.

Sony has also reviled that they are planning to do make their own marvel cinematic universe, with the Spider-Man Universe. With a Venom solo movie and a Sinister Six film set for 2015.

Edge of Tomorrow, previously known as All You Need Is Kill.
The film is based on the book, All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
The film stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.

I love the classic Godzilla films. I remember watching them as a young child.
So I was very disappointed with the Roland Emmerich 1998 film.
Let’s hope this will be decent.

Jupiter Ascending

Jupiter Ascending is written and directed by The Wachowskis.
This is their first film since 2008 Speed Racer. (Cloud Atlas was co-directed with Tom Tykwer.) Jupiter Ascending stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum & Sean Bean.

Little is known about Interstellar except that it is directed by Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey. Interstellar is the story of A group of explorers makeing use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Fast & Furious 6, Film Review

The Fast And The Furious films have changed a lot since it first outing.
Starting out as a film about the “Boy Racer” culture of America they changed into films about revenge and big crime cappers.
Fast And Furious 6 is the fourth and last film in the franchise to be directed by Justin Lin.

Hobbs, (Dwayne Johnson) is after a mercenary crew, but he is unable to keep up with him. So decides to bring in Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) crew to help capture them. Hobbs knows that Dom and co won’t just help out. But Hobbs has an Ace up his sleeve, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Dom dead girlfriend is running with the mercenary’s. (See Fast & Furious.) Toretto agree to help but wants to go on his own and heads off to London. Brian (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew turn up to help Dom as they look after “Family.”
Like the pervious films Fast And Furious 6 is fast and action packed. Unlike F&F5, they try to show some more of the “Boy Racer” culture that made the films so popular in the first place. But this is done in the style of American culture and not British. (But then the British “Boy Racer” culture is more the snotty noise teenager, than the imported cars.)
Most of the filming took place in London and it stand in for Moscow which is really noticeable. But this is expected as no part of London looks anything like Moscow, even with a little CGI thrown in. That is one thing this film dose not has much have.
As CGI is being used way to much these day for the big blockbuster movies.
Lin give a tourist-eye view of London with Piccadilly Circus, Battersea Power Station, the Eye and being showing in all there glory.

With the cast of the F&F franchise getting bigger with each film all the main cast get there moments except for Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto) and Elsa Pataky (Elena Neves). Which is rare these days with films with such a large cast.

The films end with an action pack climatic battle where Dom and Co losses one of their own, in a selfless act. Though this lose is not touched on two much as we are quickly back in the States at Dom’s and Mia childhood home.

Once the credits start to role, stick around because before they have really got started we see the events that lead to Han’s (Sung Kang) death in F&F: Tokyo Drift. And Jason Statham makes appearance as Ian Shaw, the older bother of this films villain played by Luke Evans.

With each installment of F&F franchise getting a little wilder as it goes along.
They are still entertaining to watch and a good way to kill a few hours.
For me personally I don’t think it was a good as F&F 5, I still enjoyed it and with that little post credit scene looking forward to the next film.
I give Fast And Furious 6, 4 out of 5 stars.

Dominic Toretto: You’ve got the best crew in the world standing right in front of you; give them a reason to stay.

On November 30th Paul Walker (Brian) was killed in a car accident, he was aged 40 and leaves behind a little girl.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Paul Walker was over halfway though filming F&F7. Universal Pictures have halted production on the film, and will talk to Walker family on the best way to proceed with the film, in a way that will do his honor.
