  1. It looks good. I saw the teaser during NASCAR the other day, but it didn’t show much, as teasers often don’t. I love the series, so I’m looking forward to it. It’s nice to see that Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner are all coming back. It will be interesting to see what role Alec Baldwin’s character plays in the grand scheme of things.

    • It looks like they are keeping a core cast with these films now, which is great. I never like the idea of Hunt changing his team on each mission he went on. (M:I2 & M:I3) I know Ving Rhames has been in all the films, but it good to see that he gone back into the field instead of keeping an eye on Hunts Wife.

      • Yeah, it looks like only Paula Patton isn’t coming back from the last film, which is odd considering that this one picks up right after. However, they may have written in some kind of “explanation,” like maybe her character is going to be killed off. Too bad, I like Paula Patton. I’m definitely glad to see Ving back on the team and in the main plot of the film. I missed Luther Stickell in the last film and didn’t care for him only having a brief cameo. Apart from Tom Cruise, Ving is the only person who’s been in all of the films and I wanted more of him in Ghost Protocol. I agree that having consistent characters from one film to the next is important on a series like this. The “changing teams” aspect was definitely never my favorite. While they showed Steven Hill and Peter Graves picking their team at the beginning of many of the episodes, they usually picked the same people. (for obvious reasons 😉 )
