Freaking out about Sci-fi & Moives

Drawing a day, Part 3

Continuing with the Drawing a day. I did Harley Quinn from Batman.
Once again I pulled it into Photoshop and did the outlines and add the shading.

Harley 1

Because the last picture I posted got a lot of good feed back on the Poison Ivy theme, I though I do a knock up cover for a Harley and Ivy Comic.
This is just a test, Not sure if I will take this any feather.
What do you think?

  2. Both images look great. I especially like Harley. She’s one of my favorite Batman villains. It’s a good thing they decided to use her in more than one episode, since she was originally only supposed to be in one. 🙂

The only problem with the Harley and Ivy cover is that it looks like she’s about to shoot Ivy in the head.

    • Thanks Chris. Even though Batman is really the only DC comic line I really like. I love Harley, never was a fan of her original costume but it worked for Batman the Animated Series. I really love what Rocksteady did with her for the Arkham Games.

As for the cover yeah I know it look like Harley is going to shoot Ivy, but I know she and Ivy are BFF, so I was going for her playing around. The layout of the cover might change once/ if I colour both pictures.

      • I’m the opposite, I love her original costume. To me, that’s how Harley is supposed to look and she’s supposed to sound like Arleen Sorkin, which is actually who Paul Dini based her quirky personality off of, not just who did her voice. I don’t have anything against Tara Strong, she was great as Batgirl in the final season of the Animated Series, but I didn’t like her as well as Harley in Batman: Arkham City.

I just finished another complete watch through of the Animated Series (and the movies Mask of the Phantasm and Sub-Zero) the other day, so that series and the original Harley is fresh in my mind. That’s my favorite version of Batman. 🙂
